Good to hear  from  Business  clients  doing well  in this slow down period
in NZ  prior to the election.  New accounts and  new products  being
released, moving into new premises  and starting new staff well done!  

Don't
fall  into  the " I cant make a decision  because of the election
syndrome!"  The Australian  Economy  is booming and  good sales are to had
with  Australian buyers!


Thought about your  Xmas period coming up and  a few  areas to checkout in
your business?

Gifts  for key accounts , with your logo on!  Still time  if you are quick!
Books  inscribed  on the flyleaf make a lasting impression, and there is a
few good sports books  around at the moment....even a few  All black
bargains too!

Thank you cards, Thank e mails  work well too!

Sales reps  sometimes need  boosting   by running relationship building
sessions  to help them concentrate on selling benefits  not talking about
elections or lost sport  games.

Preparing  marketing plans for 2000    is  great to do in January  if you
slow down a little  and take the  time  out  to  think about your business
needs. Don't forget to take a  holiday break  the  manager or owner needs a re charge  too!

An interesting Book  I can recommend  is "The Law  of Marketing  in New
Zealand" $39.95  written by  John Skinnon & John  McDermott  for good
practical advice to marketing  managers   and plenty  of tips  to watch for
to stop those  legal  hassles.

News about  my personal " Geewiz"  successes!  I have just had the busiest
year for  about four years  lots of  Marketing consultancy  projects, big
increase  in  Conferences  and Training  seminars, I have completed  over
150  seminars and  speaking  at conferences speaking to about 5000  people
so far this year!
